Today we learned about old maps versus new maps old maps mostly only showed Europe top of Africa and Greece also the earth to them was flat so. also newer maps portray the whole earth and all the continents and all the countries. Anaximander was the first of the ancient Greeks to draw a map of the known world and as such he is considered to be one of the first cartographers. Hecataeus, Herodotus, Eratosthenes, and Ptolemy were other well-known Greek map makers. Also there are many other writers for the maps but maps were first made they didn't know about North America Or South America which is what excluded America from ancient maps.
